Workshop: Matching Reading Data to Interventions, October 24, 1:00-2:00 PM
The Next Step in Your Science of Reading Journey
Hour Long Virtual Introduction
So much data! As elementary educators, we want to see our students become proficient readers and writers, to be able to enjoy the reading process and gain information from the text they read.
Dive farther into K-5 literacy data and explore how to link data to the right intervention. Based on the book, Matching Reading Data to Interventions, you will be introduced to a simple tool called “The Columns”. Set up this tool with your own district assessment information and literacy intervention resources. Use it to guide students into the best group for their needs. Participants will discuss aspects of tiered support, RTI/MTSS. You will also have time to engage with colleagues and begin to apply information to your own intervention system. This introduction is appropriate for K-5 elementary grade level teachers, reading teachers, instructional coaches, administration, and coordinators.
Workshop Date/Time
October 24, 1:00-2:00 PM Central
Workshop Format
This workshop will be completely virtual over Zoom. A meeting link will be provided to you upon registration. Please send event questions to janaschmidt102@gmail.com
